Antioch Baptist Church
Originally, it was off Monroe Rd. in the Grier Heights area. The Church relocated to 232 Skyland Ave. on 9-14-1975. Charlotte, NC 28205 704-332-4951 Condition: Abandoned/Poor Condition Affiliations: Baptist Size: 50 to 100 graves Historical Notes: The original church was formed from the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in 1886. It purchased the property from the estate of Pat Hall on 11-23-1895. The first building was constructed in 1900. It was replaced in 1922. The cemetery became inactive on 1-29-1975. The church moved to its current location on Skyland Ave. The old church was moved and renovated to become part of a furniture store on Colonnade Dr. This renovated church has now been torn down.
