We have a new NCR staff member, Meghan Bowden!  Meghan has an educational background at a master’s level in history and a professional tie to genealogy, so she is a perfect fit for what we do daily in the Carolina Room.

Mecklenburg County videographers paid us a visit recently and made this fast-paced promotional video, starring our archivist, Hannah Cox.

As you can see from the titles listed, we are adding a lot to our military collection, particularly as it relates to Midwesterners.  Many of our early settlers moved westward towards Indiana and Illinois after the Revolutionary War, thus having children and grandchildren who served in the Union forces between 1861-1865.

To search the Library’s entire collection, please visit https://www.cmlibrary.org/.  To learn more about library services and programs, go to https://cmlibrary.org/services.  These materials were added to our collection from 9/20/2017 to 10/16/2017.  If you have titles you think we should own, please let me know!
