Entrance to the United States Post Office in Charlotte. Between 1875 and 1917, the United States Post Office in Charlotte was located at West Trade and Mint Streets. The Assay Office (former US Mint) and the Shipp Monument is visible.

The Osborne Oak was located at West Trade and Graham Street. It was more than a 100 years old when this photograph was taken in 1906. The home belonged to Dr. Sam Hayes who married an Osborne. A horse drawn cart is in front.

Dr. Thomas Arthur Walker (1879-1939) ran Walker Drugstore at 332 North Tryon Street. Today, this building still stands on the corner of 8th and Tryon. The Fox & Hound Pub is located there.

The Third Courthouse was located at Church and Trade Streets. It was built in 1888 and located at Trade and Tryon Streets. Each of the tall, white columns were made from a single pine tree then stuccoed after being milled. It gives the appearance of marble.

Walker's Drugstore and the Fisk Rubber Company occupied the building at 332 North Tryon Street. Dr. T. Arthur Walker ran the drugstore. This building stands on the corner of 8th and Tryon.
