1994 - Greenville CYO Marching Band
June 4, 1994 - The Greenville C.Y.O. Marching Band wins the Myrtle Beach Award.
- Greenville community activist Thomas "Pop" Sadler sets up a marching band to fight crime. Every day after school, children come to the Sadler home, have juice and cookies, do their homework, and later march up down the street practicing their routine for their drum corps.
- At their first competition in Myrtle Beach, SC, after raising the money for instruments and uniforms, the band takes first place. In April 1997, they opened up their new community resource center.
