1995 - West Charlotte Wins State Championship

December 9, 1995 - West Charlotte High School wins the state football championship.

• For the past 41 years, west side residents had followed West Charlotte High School sports.
• “When we were teachers, we instilled pride, dignity and worth in our students,” says former West Charlotte principal “Pop” Miller. “We used to tell our kids that they were the best. We said expectations are the seeds of success....The young kids want to go to West Charlotte, and they believe in West Charlotte. We made believers out of their parents.”
