1996 - West Boulevard Library Dedicated

June 29, 1996 - The new West Boulevard branch of the Public Library is dedicated.

• Long ranked the least-used of the 22 branches, 1,372 new library cards are issued during the first eight months after the branch opens. This figure compares with the 295 new cards issued the year before. 
• Photo shows the Gospel Christian Singers performing at the opening.
