Mimosa Cemetery

This cemetery is owned by the City of Davidson and was organized in 1937.  This cemetery is visible from the street, which ends at a sports complex.

Miranda Cemetery

There was formerly a church / school near the location. The congregation was formed in 1869 by black members of Hopewell Presbyterian Church and possibly several other predominantly white churches. The land was originally part of the Carr plantation. The church merged with the Catawba Presbyterian Church in 1958. A nickname for Miranda was Slab Top.

Monroe Rd. Cemetery

This cemetery may have been called Roseville at one time. It may also have some unmarked graves. A long time resident and local historian of Matthews thinks this may have been the cemetery for an African American church that was near Charles St. in Matthews. This cemetery is in a heavily wooded area and is between Monroe and a subdivision. It is across the street from the Family Dollar Co.

Moore's Chapel United Methodist Church

This is not a complete listing of burials. They are provided by John Blythe. This cemetery is behind the church and is most visible from Sam Wilson Rd.

Moore's Sanctuary AME Zion

This church was organized about 1870. This is not a complete list of burial records. This cemetery is behind the church and cannot be seen from the street.

Morning Star Lutheran Church ELCA and Cemetery - 2nd site

This church was organized in 1775. The newer church is on the opposite side of the road and west of this historic church and cemetery. The cemetery is to the right of the small, white, historic church.

Mount Olive Baptist Church

The church was organized in 1868 and rebuilt in 1964. This is not a complete list of burial records. The cemetery is visible from the road.

Mount Zion Baptist Church Memorial Gardens

There was originally a church and cemetery together. There is no evidence of the original church in 1999. There are several unmarked graves. Jane Johnson completed this list of burials in 7/2003. The cemetery is not visible from the road, but it is sometimes visible from I-85. There is a small, unkept dirt road that goes from Performance to the cemetery entrance. A sign and gate mark the entrance.
