This man was not a citizen of the United States by 4/19/1918. His Army service number was 2395559.He served with the 33rd West Riding, Yorkshire, yeomanry in the Boer War from 1900-1902. Finding it hard to come to America, he and his brother, John, volunteered as ambulance drivers in France, where they served for 8 months and had many thrilling experiences. He was a commissioned flyer in the Royal Flying Corps. As of 4/20/1918.
