Biographical Notes:
In 1909, while visiting Charlotte from New York, he performed what is said to have been the first Caesarian operation in the Carolinas. It was done on a kitchen table. He established his practice here in 1912 and practiced surgery and gynecology since then. He served for 2 years in WWI and was an aviation enthusiast.Funeral services were held at his home at 2131 Cumberland Avenue, with burial in Chester, SC.
