Death Details/Burial/Memorial Services: He entered the service in the USNR and died aboard the U.S.S. Franklin, when the carrier was hit by a Japanese suicide bomber. His burial was at sea with full honors. A memorial service was held at the Myers Park Methodist Church on 4-16-1945. Memorial marker at Punchbowl National Cemetery in Honolulu, HI.
