Military Details:
Private First Class Cranford enlisted in 1964 and served on in a honor guard battalion at Ft. Myer, Virginia (near Washington, D.C.) and served in the honor guard at president Johnson's inauguration in January 1965. He was sent to Vietnam in December of 1965, while on tour he was killed in action when struck by a mine fragment.
