Outdoor sceen of Elizabeth College with young ladies on the campus. Same as H.1999.01.082.19, but much clearer. Elizabeth College was an all girl's school located at the intersection of Elizabeth Avenue and Hawthorne Lane. Today it is the site of Presbyterian Hospital.

The Osborne Oak was located at West Trade and Graham Street. It was more than a 100 years old when this photograph was taken. The home belonged to Dr. Sam Hayes who married an Osborne. A horse drawn cart is in front.

Settler's Cemetery is the oldest cemetery in Charlotte. It is located at the corner of 5th and Church Streets

Sugaw Creek Presbyterian Church is located on North Tryon Street. Founded in 1755, the building in this photograph was constructed in 1895, and it still stands. The cemetery, seen above, features dates to the mid-eighteenth century.
