Vermelle Diamond
Vermelle Diamond, crowned queen of the Queen City Classic, 1947. The Queen City Classic was the annual football game between rival high schools Second Ward and West Charlotte. Miss Diamond is flanked by J. E. Grigsby, principal of Second Wardand C. L. Blake, principal of West Charlotte.
