Coddington Building

The C.C. Coddington Building was located at Trade and Graham Streets. This photograph was taken near its 1925 completion date. Coddington was the Buick distributor for North and South Carolina. For a time, the building housed the WBT Radio Station. Albert Kahn of Detroit was the architect. The contractor was the Realty Construction Company of Flint, Michigan. Stratford Hotel

The Stratford Hotel was located at 227 North Tryon Street. It had thirty-seven rooms and was completed in 1899. It was originally called the Leland Hotel. In the 1915-1916 Charlotte City Directory, it was known as the Tryon Hotel.
