Death Details/Burial/Memorial Services: While on his 5th mission, his plane was disabled by enemy fire. US Bombers saw several men parachute from the plane. German Govt informed Red Cross that he was dead. A memorial service was held on 11-18-1945 at the Duncan Memorial Methodist Church in Charlotte. His brother Robert was killed in France in 1944.
