Death Details/Burial/Memorial Services: Listed as MIA after the surrender of Corregidor, the Japanese Government informed the Red Cross that Dixon had died. He was held as a Japanese POW in the Philippines. Memorial service at St. Marks Lutheran Church on Feb 21, 1943. His mother honored as a Gold Star mother on Nov 12, 1943. Memorial marker at Ft. McKinley, Manila, PI.
