A young white woman, Sadie Crowell, was arrested this morning as a run-away from her home in Concord. She has been in Charlotte several days attending the carnival, and says that she could not get on with her people.
When arrested her only possessions were a carnival whip, a teddy bear, and a handbag. The girl appears to be about 18 years of age. Her people in Concord will send for her this afternoon.

The members of Mecklenburg Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, had a delightful meeting yesterday afternoon with Misses Sophie and Julia Alexander, on West Trade street. The program was one of varied interest and included an interesting address by the state regent, Mrs. John Van Landingham. Each daughter present was presented with souvenirs in the shape of autographs of the signers of the Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence. Refreshments were served.
