Library of the Future: 1989-1999 [1]
Regional Branches [2] - In the 1990s, the library of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, worked to keep up with growth in the population of the county. To meet the demands of more people in more places the library system built large facilities recognized by the state as Regional Branches.
The Information Revolution [3] The residents of Mecklenburg County were changing their habits as well. What people would soon call the information revolution challenged the Library to find ways to fulfill its historic mission in a new environment of decentralized, unmediated sources of information.
The Novello Festival [4] - Beginning in 1991, the Library staged a yearly festival of reading, which became one of the most celebrated events of its kind.
