This exhibit has two parts:

Charlotte Mecklenburg Library: A Century of Service [2] - Covers a century of library history, up to the opening of a new Main Library in 1989. This is an online version of the book, Public Library of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County: A Century of Service, by Patricia Ryckman (Charlotte, NC: Public Library of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County, 1989.)

"Charlotte Mecklenburg Library: 1989-2015 [3]" - Contains three sections:

• Library of the Future: 1989-1999 [4]
• Fighting to Stay Relevant: 1999-2009 [5]
• The New Normal: 2009-2015 [6]
