He was driving a G. M. C. Ambulance and had a wreck on the corner of West Rd. and Dowd Rd. opposite the Finance Office of the Q. M. C. on 12/11/1918 at 9:30 a. m. No one was injured. L. B. Watkins, R. F. D. #1 of Charlotte was the owner and driver of the civilian vehicle. The Army vehicle had damage to the headlights, radiator and crank. The civilian vehicle had damage to the right rear wheel, right running board and front spring. Ambulance #11 was in route to the Post Office and Gasoline Station.
