Biographical Notes:
Yergenson testified in 9/1918 to Captain William O. McGeehan of the Infantry about an undercover operation of a prostitution ring at Blake Auto Service in Charlotte. A soldier serving as an undercover M. P. approached a chauffeur working for Blake Auto Service and asked for a woman. When the driver procured a woman, they were arrested. Blake was named as the head of the ring, and he was later arrested. Yersenson, as well as agent for the Dept. of Justice said that assignations made through the Blake Auto Service were responsible for cases of venereal disease at Camp Greene.
