Biographical Notes:
He wrote a poem, 'The Song of the Motor Mac,' which was published in The Propeller, 4/20/1918. McGeehan wrote the final report on 9/9/1918 about the undercover operation of a prostitution ring at Blake Auto Service in Charlotte. A soldier serving as an undercover M. P. approached a chauffeur working for Blake Auto Service and asked for a woman. When the driver procured a woman, they were arrested. Blake was named as the head of the ring, and he was later arrested. It is not clear from the memo if McGeehan set up this sting or if he was responsible for the men involved in the sting. This involvement may have led to his next promotion. McGeehan was assigned the office of Provost Marshal in a memo dated 9/27/1918.
