She was from Chicago, IL, prior to joining the service. She left Chicago to serve as Superintendent of Nurses at the Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Knoxville, TN. She came to Camp Greene in January 1918 to serve in Ward B-5, but she also did some work in D-7.She had her personal piano sent to the nurses' home. When an urgent call came for two nurses from Camp Greene to serve in France, she volunteered and was accepted.She is pictured with her son, Frank.
