Biographical Notes: 
His father was a Baptist minister, and his mother a veterinarian. He spent his years working as an educator and a Baptist preacher. He read Greek and Hebrew. He passed his love for learning on to his children.His funeral was at Friendship Baptist Church with burial at Oaklawn Cemetery.
