Outside Looking South [1]
Outside of Dowd House [2]
The house is on a brick foundation [6], which has had additional brick infill. This infill allowed for a basement, which the Cook family had dug after 1924. The chimney is for the fireplaces that are in the office and living room. Neither of the fireplaces is currently used.
This historic postcard [7] shows what the house looked like during its time as the headquarters at Camp Greene. The addition to the house on the right side of the postcard is what was added to the house shown from this view looking south.
