Trust Building

The Trust Building on South Tryon Street housed the Charlotte Opera House (1902-1922) on the first floor. A number of other businesses had offices in the Trust Building, including Southern Power Company

Old Osborne Corner (The Square)

The northwest corner of the Square, the intersection of Trade and Tryon Streets, was once known as Old Osborne Corner. It was named for the Mrs. Osborne who owned a large amount of property in the uptown area.

Ratcliffe Florist (1940)
