This portrait of Queen Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz by Allan Ramsay (1713-1784) was given to the Mint Museum of Art in 1936 by Mrs. Westray Battle. The painting captures Charlotte in her coronation robe. Born in 1774, she was the consort to King George III of England.
