A bright mulatto girl named Mary, age 20, low and chunky, round face, with a good set of teeth, hair sandy and kinky, and marked on the right eye with a scar caused by a whip, dressed in homespun, is passing herself as a white woman by this name. Her story is that her husband took her from Richmond, VA to Franklin, GA, got in debt and ranaway and left her, and that she is making her way back to her mother and brother in Richmond.
