A RUN-AWAY GIRL. 

She Leaves Her Home in Concord to Attend the Carnival Here. 

A young white woman, Sadie Crowell, was arrested this morning as a run-away from her home in Concord.  She has been in Charlotte several days attending the carnival, and says that she could not get on with her people.

Below is an article published by Historian Ashe in which he affirms the authenticity of the Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence documents but claims that the true date is May 31 and not May 20.
