Museum Looking West
J Michael Designs and Stuart Schwartz designed the museum. Items in the room are contributions from community members as well as the Hezekiah Alexander House, operated by the Charlotte Museum of History. The museum holds many artifacts about Camp Greene and World War I.
As you enter the museum, you see a fireplace on your left. The door to the left of the fireplace is the closet door that leads to the office. The door on the right side of the fireplace opens into a normal-sized closet. Along the north wall is a piano and a folded flag. The piano was used in the Officer's Club at Camp Greene.
In the northeast corner stands a mannequin of a World War I soldier in uniform. On the floor next to the mannequin rests a large metal cylinder, a shell casing from World War I.
