Office
Looking North
The office contains oak furniture in the Mission style.
A wool area rug lies in the center of the room. On a table sits a globe, which illustrates the world as it appeared in World War I.
Looking South and West
Facing the west wall of the office you see a bookcase. In the bookcase are large, red books, which are the Congressional Record from 1917. They document how funds were appropriated for Camp Greene.
Looking towards the southeast corner, you see a fireplace. A decorative stove on loan from the Mint Museum of Art in Charlotte stands in front of the fireplace. Note the closet door to the right of the fireplace. It is unusual in that it opens to the room on the other side of the house.
