Death Details/Burial/Memorial Services: He was on one of his first missions as a commander of a large number of B-17s, which was organized at Geiger Field, Spokane, WA, since October, 1943. His plane went down after receiving flak hits in the engines. He had only been in England for 10 days.

Arno Seifart

Death Details/Burial/Memorial Services: With their platoon under attack, he and another man from his unit advanced through heavy machine gun and mortar fire and were able to wipe out the gun emplacement. They continued to attack the German soldiers until killed by sniper fire.

Charles Sigmon

Death Details/Burial/Memorial Services: He was killed in action and interred in North Africa. His body was sent home in May 1948 at his mothers request.

Eugene Gene Sellers

Death Details/Burial/Memorial Services: LCT vessel capsized in typhoon off of Okinawa and he drowned. Buried in the island cemetery and a memorial service was held by his crew.

Leonard Ritter, Jr.

Death Details/Burial/Memorial Services: He went overseas on 2-4-1943. He was wounded on Tarawa on 11-20-1943. He was wounded again in the invasion of Saipan, which resulted in his death. Burial was at sea with full honors. A memorial service was held on 9-10-1944 at Wilson Heights Baptist Church. A memorial marker is located at the National Cemetery in Honolulu, HI.
